The first Bigoudène vodka was aged in barrels of pommeau purchased locally (Rozavern cider house in Telgruc) and in Miel Bigouden (Samuel Roullot in Plomeur) from the spring of black bees, an ultra-local and unique breed. Perfectly adapted to the climate, they forage 600 species of flowers against 300 for the yellow ones which gives a honey of an extreme floral variety.
The tasting begins with a gentle opening on the apple, to develop on aromas of tarte tatin. Spring honey brings its floral notes on the finish. Watch out, we’ll be back soon! 😉
To be served neat, at cellar temperature between 13 and 16 degrees ideally, or in a chilled glass in the freezer.
Try the classic moscow mule, in a mixing glass, 6 cl VIGOUDENN vodka, fresh lemon juice and top with ginger beer. Stir gently with the cocktail spoon, serve in a tumbler glass with a slice of lemon and a mint leaf.
